A busy summer so far at Rutland Sailing School
What a fabulous place Rutland Sailing Club is to work and sail, in the last four weeks we have had some amazing weather and some fantastic events, last week we had the ISAF Team racing world championships, a fantastic spectacle to watch over 300 races achieved in the first 2 days of the event. A visit from Princess Anne, on the Monday, who came to see the team racing and Rutland Sailablity celebrating their, 20th anniversary. This week we have the NSSA event a national sailing event for children, with 300 children racing on the water again a fantastic spectacle, and great to see so many children enjoying sailing.
We are into our 4th week of children’s holiday courses, we have in the last 4 weeks taught 100 plus children to sail, some total beginners, some improving their skills on from previous Royal Yachting Association courses. We have a few spaces left for children’s courses throughout the summer holidays; give us a call if you’re interested in having a go.
The adult courses have been equally as busy with over 20 adults doing 1.1 or 2.1 tuition, again in RYA courses, or introduction sessions, one of the best parts of the job is meeting different people from all over the world, only last week we had a family visiting the area from Australia, who we took out sailing on the water.
If you’re interested in seeing Rutland from a different point spectacle why not come and have an introduction to sailing with us.
